Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Bodhi account and its data at any time. The steps below work whether or not you currently have the app installed or are signed in.
Delete from the app
Open the Bodhi app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account.
Review what will be deleted, then tap Continue to Verification.
Confirm your identity via the OTP or password prompt shown for your account.
Tap Delete Account to confirm. Deletion is scheduled immediately.
What happens next
- Your account enters a 7-day recovery window. Signing back in during this time restores it.
- After 7 days, your profile, linked parent/guardian profiles, Thought Bank entries, meditation and Focus Sprint history, Karma and streak data, and school-linked data are permanently deleted or de-identified, subject to the legal, payment, and school-agreement retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy.
- Payment, invoice, and tax records may be retained separately as required by law.
Can’t access the app or your account?
Email privacy@bodhi.org.in with the subject “Account Deletion Request”, from the email address or with the phone number linked to your account, along with your name so we can verify the request. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and complete verified requests within the period required by applicable law.
